Cannes Festival : 5 women in the Jury
The glamorous Cannes Film Festival has announced the composition of the jury for its 67th edition .
We knew that was headed by a woman , Jane Campion. Today, four women are added to the chair. Carole Bouquet, will represent France in this jury. The French actress will be joined by Sofia Coppola , director , screenwriter and producer of The Ring Bling opened Un Certain Regard last year at Cannes. Leila Hatami , Iranian actress and Do- yeon Jeon , actress Korean South who starred in The Housemaid Im Sang -soo , presented in Cannes in 2010, are those who join the ranks .
The men are, Willem Dafoe, actor; Gael García Bernal, actor, director and producer in Mexico; Jia Zhangke, director, screenwriter and producer in China; Nicolas Winding Refn, director, screenwriter and producer dane, they will be with the five female film personalities.
As always, the jury consists of nine people. There will be five women and four men, as in 2009. The jury must view the 18 films in competition and choose one that will receive the famous Palme, the latter being projected Sunday, May 25 during the Festival closing night in the presence of the jury and the film crew .
